Amanda Owen (She/Her/Hers)
Founder, Managing Director and Consultant

As Managing Director, Amanda lives and breathes the Take Effect ethos of unleashing people potential to truly make a difference. Amanda has worked in the training sector for over a decade as a dynamic, highly driven, learner-centred Learning and Development Consultant.  She has worked for a wide range of clients, many of whom are in the top FTSE 35, blue chip companies. She has a passion for using workplace psychology to improve performance. Always thriving on a challenge, in the distant past she has worked in live television in a highly pressured environment.

How would you describe your team?

“Making a difference motivates us and pumps the blood through our veins, we always come back to that. We are curious about everything. Our team’s natural curiosity enables us to consistently ask inquisitive questions of our clients and to ensure that we are staying on the pulse of learning and development. In today’s modern marketplace, we aim to anticipate and adapt to the changing needs of our clients”

Fact: Amanda is a motivational speaker. Amanda volunteers her coaching skills to help women who are aspiring managers and are disadvantaged. She is passionate about workplace wellbeing and is a qualified Mental Health First Aider.

Robert Snell (He/Him/His) Business Development Lead

Robert has worked globally as a CIPD qualified Training Consultant in the Middle East, Europe and Africa. Robert is a supporter of self-directed discovery in Learning and Development, enabling individuals of all skill levels to thrive. Robert has been a dedicated Consultant with over a decade of proven results, using leadership strengths to solve specific and measurable needs for multiple organisations through training, development and engagement of employees.

What motivates you the most?

“I’m never happier than when I return home from work knowing that I changed someone’s life for the better, that I helped them to realise their full potential. There is no feeling like it”

What is your preferred training method?

“The one that gains results! The meaning of blended learning has changed, it has evolved It now includes a blend of elements such as, social learning, digital on-demand content, AI technology, gamification and microlearning. L&D is rapidly changing, which means exciting times”
